Changing display 
settings on a monitor

The Journal is best viewed at a screen display resolution of 800 by 600 pixels (width and height respectively) or more. A lower display resolution, such as 600 by 480, may cause text to appear jumbled or out of place. Follow these steps in order to change display resolution in Windows 95 type interfaces, or contact your IT support.
 
  • Close all active applications-print this page in order to follow the instructions, if necessary.
  • Right click on your desktop. 
  • The shortcut menu as shown on the right should appear. 
  • Click on properties (shown highlighted in black).
  • The menu as shown below-right should appear.

  • Click the settings tab as shown on the right (highlighted in red).
  • If the desktop area i.e. the screen display (highlighted in blue) is set at 640 by 480, as shown here, increase the display setting by shifting the pointer in the blue ellipse to the right, as shown by the arrow, then click apply.
  • When done, click OK.
  • If this setting change is not allowed, please contact your IT support.
  • If you have any doubts whatsoever about changing your system settings, please contact your IT support. The journal cannot be held responsible for any system malfunction incurred by following the instructions outlined above.
